5 Tips to Help You Use Jaltest More Efficiently

Jaltest is a comprehensive diagnostic tool for automotive diagnostics, repairs and maintenance. It helps users quickly diagnose vehicle faults and provide accurate repair information in order to ensure their vehicles are running at peak performance. In this article, we'll cover five tips that can help you use Jaltest more efficiently.

Use AutoVin

One of the ways you can use Jaltest more efficiently is to use AutoVin. This allows you to automatically find the vehicle that you're plugged into. By clicking 'obtain VIN automatically', Jaltest will get the VIN number for you and find the vehicle that you're plugging into so that you don't have to.

Build your own bespoke vehicle configurations

Through the main menu, you can access Jaltest brand/model customization feature, which allows for the creation of unique and personalized vehicle brands and models. For those with a fleet that consists of buses or machines configured with different systems from various manufacturers, this is an effective method to set up bespoke configurations for future use in the “brands list”.

Search for specific functions

The third tip to help you use Jaltest more efficiently is to search for specific functions within a vehicle. That way, you can jump right into a regen, calibration etc.

Once you have narrowed your search to the desired make and model, click the ‘Actions’ button and type in what function you need into the provided box. This is an incredibly convenient way of finding anything quickly!

Use GRP on a separate PC

Do you know that GRP, the workshop management program in Jaltest, can be conveniently set up on another computer? For instance, it could be installed on your workshop manager's PC, so they have direct access to any reports created through Jaltest without having to engage in lengthy email exchanges.

Use 'quick system scan' to save time

Jaltest has revolutionized the process of diagnosing vehicle or vessel issues with its "Quick System Scan" feature. This incredible tool allows you to see everything installed in a vehicle through the OBD port within seconds. The Quick System Scan works across all Jaltest modules - CV, OHW, AGV, MHE and Marine - making it an incredibly useful asset for any technician.

Jaltest is an invaluable tool for the diagnostics, repairs and maintenance of automotive vehicles. It provides users with a comprehensive suite of features to make the process easier and more efficient. By leveraging its AutoVin feature, building your own bespoke vehicle configurations, searching for specific functions through Actions button, using GRP on a separate PC and utilizing Quick System Scan feature you can use Jaltest like an expert. With these tips in mind, you’ll be able to use this amazing tool to diagnose problems quickly and accurately so that you can get your equipment back up-and-running as soon as possible!
